Junior registration

Junior cricket registration is now open - here is some important information for the season ahead. This will assist when completing the registration process, so please read this in full.

The season will commence in early October following the school holidays after term 3 and will be completed early March 2024, with the summer holidays breaking over Christmas.

We now have an online shop where you can purchase all playing uniforms. You can also purchase these products during the registration process.

Please use this link to access the shop:

Key dates:

1st August - Registrations Open

22nd August - Early Bird $15 off rego voucher closes

15th September - Registrations Close - We will have the ability to have late regos but for team allocation would be advantageous to have all players registered by this date.

Grading and trials for DIV 1 teams and COLTS.

Grading and team selection

The club again will be using a independent assessor for players wishing to play DIV1 in each of the Stage groups and COLTS. There is information attached around our grading policy and processes. All players and parents/carers are required to adhere to these guidelines.

It is important that only players wishing to play DIV1 and COLTS attend the trials.

Those players happy to play ungraded and with friends are NOT required to attend the trials.

Here are the details for grading trials.

PLEASE NOTE - The COLTS, Stage 3 Turf and some Senior Grade competitions this year will be played on synthetic wickets with a number of turf grounds offline for pitch renovations.

Blast Cricket programs (Players aged 5 - 10)

Information will be sent out in the coming weeks in relation to this program which will be the same as last season and with the successful implementation with Cricket ACT running this program in conjunction with our club.

We again will be requiring volunteers to assist with teams and encourage as many parents and carers as possible to put their name forward to assist with the getting our players on the field each week.

Assistance is available in relation to coaches courses that are run by ACT Cricket and would assist with anyone thinking about becoming a coach and developing our players as they get to on with their cricket journey.

We are also looking for new committee members as we have had a number of members moving on as their players move into senior cricket. We meet once a month for approx 1hr during cricket season.

If you have any queries about Junior cricket registration, please get in touch with Ian at wcmcc.juniors@gmail.com.
