Junior registration is now open for the 2026/27 junior cricket season. Hope everyone had a great off-season and are ready to go for the season ahead.
Please read this important information and the details below which will help you to successfully complete the registration process.
Please ensure that you read all information in full (including the attached documents) and if you have any questions please contact the Junior Registrar (Ian) at wcmcc.juniors@gmail.com prior to completing the online registration form. Refunding incorrectly lodged registrations will incur a $20 admin fee for processing.
Key dates to assist with the season ahead:
As per most years the season will commence in early October following the school holidays after term 3 and will be completed early March 2027.
2nd August - Registrations Open
23rd August - Early Bird $20 off rego voucher closes
15th September - Registrations Close - we will consider late registration, but for team allocation would be advantageous to have all players registered by this date.
Grading and trials for DIV 1 teams and COLTS.
The club again will be using a independent assessor of our players wishing to play DIV1 and COLTS - There is information attached around our grading policy and processes. All players and parents are required to adhere to these guidelines.
It is important that only players wishing to play DIV1 and COLTS attend the trials.
Those players happy to play ungraded and with specific friends are NOT required to attend the trials.
There will be more information coming out in the coming weeks about the trials and at this stage they will be held mid September - Dates, Times and venues to be confirmed over the coming weeks.
Playing kit will also be available to purchase in the coming weeks with an online shop being created - details will be sent out in the coming weeks.
BLASTERS PLAYERS (Players aged 5 - 10)
For those remaining in Cricket Blast Program there is information and links provided in the Registration attachment. If you have friends who wish to join please pass my details on or forward this information onto them.
We again will be requiring volunteers to assist with teams and encourage as many parents and carers as possible to put their name forward to assist with the getting our players on the field each week. Please consider this when registering your child and if you can help please advise. You don't need to be an expert - just an ability to provide a safe and fun environment for all players.
There will be some sessions for those thinking about becoming a coach that will be arranged in the coming weeks and if you are interested please let the Junior Registrar know ASAP.
We also will need new committee members as we have had a number of members moving on as their players move into senior cricket - really appreciate their efforts, and if anyone is interested please reach out.
REMEMBER - This is kids sport and the aim is to ensure our participants are provided a safe environment where fun is the aim, whilst developing skills and improving our cricket. Our club has a great name amongst the cricket community for the way we play our cricket within the spirit of the game and we want this to continue.
